Aakash Is India Tablet US$35

Aakash India Tablet US$35. India has unveiled the world's cheapest touchscreen tablet computer, The Aakash. It's priced at US$35.
According to reports, it will run Android 2.2, has a seven inch screen, two USB ports, a 3 hour battery life, 256MB RAM and can support web browsing and video conferencing. It has also been reported that instead of a hard drive, it will be using a memory card used by mobile phones and can also run on solar power.

The device is aimed at students.

A commercial version of the tablet, named the UbiSlate, will be released later this year. It will be priced at about US$60.

Critics have already started to doubt if the device can perform well, given the price and the specs.

An executive at Quad Electronics has confirmed that they are manufacturing around 700 units a day of the device. They are planning to manufacture 100,000 of these. The source also added that Quad has never manufactured a tablet before.

The factors involved in this project seem to indicate the future of this device. A price that's unbelievably low, specs that seem disjointed (256mb ram? Video conferencing?), and a manufacturer that has no experience in making the product.

If India manages to pull a rabbit out of its hat and make this work, the Aakash and the UbiSlate will be under a lot of Christmas trees this year. Well, mostly in India.

Type Symbian S60 Operating System

Type Symbian  S60 Operating System. - Symbian is a flat form that is used by several mobile phones in the world. But the more widely used by symbian nokia. In this paper will discuss about one of Janis symbian os is symbian s60.

Symbian, which powers most of Nokia’s phones, has been shipped in more than 330 million devices worldwide. But in the last few years, Symbian has seen more than its fair share of changes. In 2008, Nokia, one of Symbian’s largest customers, acquired a major share in the company. Nokia then created the Symbian Foundation to distribute the platform as an open source project, and began the process of opening up the source code that year.

Symbian’s move to open source has been completed four months ahead of schedule and it offers mobile developers new ways to innovate, says Williams. Any individual or organization can now take, use and modify the Symbian code for any device, from mobile phone to a tablet.
S60 editions

The S60 symbian development is have been four major releases of S60: "Series 60" (2001), "Series 60 Second Edition" (2003), "S60 3rd Edition" (2005) and "S60 5th Edition" (2008).

Symbian S60 1st Edition

In Series 60 1st Edition, the devices' display resolution was fixed to 176×208.
Symbian S60 2nd Edition
Since 2nd Edition Feature Pack 3, Series 60 supports multiple resolutions, i.e. Basic (176×208), and Double (352×416). Nokia N90 was the first S60 device to support a higher resolution (352×416). Some devices, however, have non-standard resolutions, like the Siemens SX1, with 176×220. Nokia 5500 Sport has a 208×208 screen resolution, and the Nokia E90 with its wide 800×352 inner display.
Symbian S60 3rd Edition
(S60v3) uses a hardened version of Symbian OS (v9.1), which has mandatory code signing. In S60v3, a user may install only programs that have a certificate from a registered developer, unless the user disables that feature or modify the phone's firmware through third-party hacks that circumvent the mandatory signing restrictions. This makes software written for S60 1st Edition or 2nd Edition not binary-compatible with S60v3.
In 2006, a "Designed for S60 Devices" logo program for developers was launched. The logotype can be used with conforming programs (Symbian or Java)

S60 5th Edition
In October 2008, S60 5th Edition was launched. (Nokia decided to move from 3rd Edition directly to 5th Edition "as a polite gesture to Asian customers",[4] because the number four means bad luck in some Asian cultures). S60 5th Edition runs on Symbian OS version 9.4.[5] The major feature of 5th Edition is support for high-resolution 640×360 touchscreens; before 5th Edition, all S60 devices had a button-based user interface. S60 5th Edition also integrates standard C/C++ APIs and includes Adobe Flash Lite 3.0 with S60-specific ActionScript extensions that give Flash Lite developers access to phone features like contacts, text messaging, sensors and device location information (GPS).
The S60 5th Edition is the last edition of S60. Its assets along with Symbian OS, UIQ and MOAP(S) have been used as a base for Symbian, an open source operating system being developed by the Symbian Foundation. The first edition of Symbian, Symbian^1, uses S60 5th Edition on top of Symbian OS 9.4 as its base.

Blackberry Playbook Specification and Price

Blackberry Playbook Specification and Price. Research In Motion (RIM) has officially introduced the BlackBerry tablet product called Playbook. The Playbook looks different from most other tablets out there; it's a 7-inch device, as opposed to the 9.7-inch and 10.1-inch versions that most of its competitors offer. The compact size makes it fit more easily into a purse or jacket pocket, but I tend to keep my tablet in a briefcase, so it isn't an advantage for me. In fact, I prefer the larger size, because I tend to do a lot of reading on the devices, but I do agree that the resulting weight difference (14.4 ounces vs. 20.8 ounces for the iPad) makes the tablet easier to hold for extended periods of time.

The Blackberry Playbook is built around a 1 GHz Texas Instruments OMAP4430 Dual-Core processor, which certainly seems fast enough to do the job. The smaller screen has a 1024-by-600-pixel resolution. That's less than most other tablets, but still sharp enough for playing back videos that looked pretty good.

The biggest difference, of course, is the Blackberry Playbook OS, a version of the QNX real-time software Research in Motion acquired. (We're all waiting for BlackBerry phones based on it, though RIM just released the Torch 9810 and the Bold 9930 with OS 7, the older BlackBerry software design.)

The operating system helps make the Blackberry Playbook quite fast. You can have multiple applications running simultaneously, which is both good and bad. It means the transition to another application is very quick, but it uses a lot of memory. There's no home button (as on the iPad or the TouchPad) or even soft buttons (as on Android Honeycomb). Instead, you just scroll upwards on the screen to view all your running applications. On the top of the screen, icons alert you to new notifications (including application updates), new messages, etc.

The browser is very nice, with multiple tabs. When you're in the browser, you scroll down to view other tabs and open new ones. Flash sites seem to work well; I was able to play Flash video on a number of sites, but noticed a bit more stuttering and artifacts than on other tablets.

The number of available applications for Blackberry Playbook is still very limited--a huge problem for consumers. You won't find the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, or USA Today. A new Facebook application works better than the one that originally shipped with the device, but it's still basically a phone version running on a tablet.

Blackberry Playbook Price is :

Blackberry PlayBook 16 GB Price : USD 500
Blackberry PlayBook 32 GB Price : USD 600
Blackberry PlayBook 64 GB Price : USD 700

Smartphone Pantech Vega Racer Price and Specification

Smartphone Pantech Vega Racer Price and Specification. The South Korean company Pantech produces mobile phones in home country under the brand of SKY, announced a new model Android smartphone Vega Racer with 1.5 GHz dual core processor Qualcomm MSM8260. According to the company Smartphone Pantech Vega Racer will be the fastest smartphone in the world.

Smartphone Pantech Vega Racer are clearly forming quite the formidable market to exploit – nay, build upon by manufacturers who want a slice of the pie. After all, with Google promising to solve the Android fragmentation problem with an upcoming Android operating system version, things would look up as the bridge between the tablet and the touchscreen smartphone draws nearer to one another. In the meantime, we will just have to sit tight and see what other kinds of tablets that will be pushed out – and see the kind of smartphone which the Pantech Vega Racer is made out of.

Smartphone Pantech Vega Racer potentially being the world’s first 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon handset when released in Korea later this month, Smartphone Pantech Vega Racer will arrive via SK-Telekom, rocking to the Qualcomm MSM8660 processor with an Adreno 220 GPU and 1GB RAM. Smartphone Pantech Vega Racer clearly point to high end specifications, but isn’t a dual-core processor at 1.5GHz overkill at the moment? Imagine the kind of Smartphone Pantech Vega Racer battery life this handset will have, good thing Smartphone Pantech Vega Racer isn’t going to connect via 4G/LTE, otherwise the battery drain of Smartphone Pantech Vega Racer would be made much worse.

There is specifications Smartphone Pantech Vega Racer :

Processor: Qualcomm MSM8260, 1.5 GHz Dual Core

Price, Features And Specifications Samsung Galaxy S II LTE

Price, Features And Specifications Samsung Galaxy S II LTE. Samsung through briefly available mentions on its Flickr page (since pulled) unwittingly revealed two of the devices it's planning for the end of the year. It intends to release a Galaxy S II LTE that uses the faster 4G speeds. Little was given away of plans, but it's intended to be unveiled on August 29, hinting at a possible sync with the US Galaxy S II event, and will be shown at the IFA show in Berlin on September 1.

If it comes to the US, AT&T would be the only real carrier choice. Verizon has bowed out of carrying the Galaxy S II and, while it may have something similar, won't have what Samsung intends to show. AT&T is just starting up its LTE network by the end of the summer and could use the Galaxy S II LTE as a showcase. If not the US, countries like Canada, Korea, and Sweden with early LTE rollouts could all be candidates.

Samsung Galaxy S II LTE can also be connected with up to eight devices via WiFi. The price and release date of this handset is still unknown. But, the device is expected to be available from September in European and Asian markets.

Samsung Galaxy S II is one of the most popular smartphone in recent times. This handset was announced at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2011 in Barcelona. Samsung already managed to sell more than 5 million units of this powerful smartphone in just 55 days. I have been using this device from the last 3 months and it works like magic, thanks to the latest version of Android OS, 4.3 inch touchscreen display, 1.2 Ghz processor, 8 megapixel camera and more.

On the connectivity side, Galaxy S II offers Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 3G, Bluetooth 3.0 and Wi-Fi Direct, but it lacks the LTE connectivity option. To solve this problem, Samsung recently announced the new LTE variant of the Galaxy S II. This handset not only comes with the additional LTE connectivity options, but it also features a large 4.5 inch touchscreen display and a powerful 1.5 GHz processor. Even the design of the device is slightly changed.

“This is a milestone in our commitment to lead the charge in 4G mobile telephony around the world, both in terms of back-end network solutions for service providers and the development of powerful consumer handsets,” said JK Shin, President and Head of Samsung’s Mobile Communications Business.

Samsung Galaxy S II LTE features a 4.5 inch Super AMOLED Plus display with 800 × 480 pixels resolution. Samsung Galaxy S II LTE use Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) Operating System. Samsung Galaxy S II LTE processor is 1.5 GHz dual core processor.  Samsung Galaxy S II LTE support 3D user interface, HSPA+ connectivity

Samsung Galaxy S II LTE use Bluetooth 3.0+HS, and Samsung Galaxy S II LTE have 8 megapixel camera with full HD (1080p) video recording, 2 megapixel front-facing camera,.

Other features Samsung Galaxy S II LTELTE Connectivity, Android Market, Social Hub Premium, Readers Hub, Game Hub, Music Hub, Kies Air, NFC (Near Field Communication) and more.
